Jackson Friends Church Middle School Basketball League is for 7th and 8th grades. The league is recreational and will focus on developing youths’ basketball skills and youth will learn good practice techniques and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills. Each game will feature a half time devotion/prayer with the players. We want to make sure participants have an enjoyable experience with the game, learn about Jesus, and increase their basketball skills! Jackson Friends Sports Leagues give equal playing time for all kids!

*CHANGE IN GAME SCHEDULE FOR 7th/8th GRADE DIVISION*
Practices will be once a week on THURSDAY EVENINGS at Jackson Friends Church starting December 2nd (practices in December will be December 2nd, 9th and 16th). There will be a total of 10 practices and 10 games. Games in December will be on December 4th, 11th and 18th. Games will start back up January 8th and continue through February 19th to complete the regular season. ALL GAMES will now be played at Jackson Friends Church on Saturday evenings, starting at either 5 or 6 PM. Games will remain on Saturday evenings throughout December, January and February. The top eight teams at the end of the regular season will make the playoff bracket. Teams that fall outside the top eight will play in a consolation game (so all teams will get at least 11 games). Playoff first round games will be at Jackson Friends and will be played on Thursday evening on February 24th (consolation games will also be at JFC on a night TBA). The second round of the playoffs will be on Thursday, March 3rd, and the championship game will be on Saturday, March 5th. *Playoff dates are subject to change, but this is the current plan. Teams will receive a notice weeks ahead of time if there is a change here

Cost of registration for the 7th/8th grade basketball league is $85, and it is $16 for a jersey for anyone that doesn’t have one from last season.
