Jackson Friends Church High School Basketball Leagues are for grades 9th – 12th. The leagues are recreational and are also “bring your own team”. MINIMUM OF EIGHT PLAYERS ON A TEAM. Players will sign up online and put down their team name or players on their team, to be linked together. Individuals that do not have a team or enough players to make a team, may sign up individually as a “free agent” or link themselves to those they want to play with, and we will hopefully be able to either create a team or “free agents” OR ask if another team will pick them up. There are no guarantees that a free agent will be on a team, but usually we are able to find a team that will pick them up or the ability to make a team of free agents.
Cost for registration is $90 for either high school league and for those that need a jersey, it is $16 for a jersey (yours to keep and reuse). All jerseys for teams must be JFC jerseys (unless a team has all the same custom uniforms, MUST BE APPROVED by league director).
Game Info for the High School Leagues:
Games for the FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE Division will be at Jackson Friends Church on Saturday Evenings starting December 4th (game times will be starting at 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 PM, potentially a little earlier in December). There will be a total of ten regular season games, and the top eight teams make the playoffs. Three games will be played in December (4th, 11th and 18th) and the remaining seven will be played January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, February 5th, 12th and 19th. Playoffs will begin with the first round on Saturday, February 26th. The second round of the playoffs will be Friday, March 4th, and the championship game will be Saturday, March 5th.*Playoff dates are subject to change, but this is the current plan. Teams will receive a notice weeks ahead of time if there is a chang here*
Games for the JUNIOR/SENIOR Division will be at Jackson Friends Church on Thursday/Friday Evenings starting December 2nd/3rd. Game times will be starting at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 PM (could potentially have a 10:30 PM game on Fridays if there was an overhaul of teams). Games on Thursday evenings will not go past 8:30 PM starting time, and most games each week will be on Friday, with only a couple on Thursday each week. All Teams Must Have a Coach or Parent who is 21 Years Old or Older on the Bench! Must have a coach/parent on the bench throughout the season to be eligible for tournament play. Any players that require disciplinary action may be withdrawn from the league and forfeit their registration fees. Be respectful and let’s ball!
