This Co-Ed youth soccer league will take place at Jackson Friends Church for grades Pre K – 6th. The league will run March 27th – May 25th. It will include eight practices and eight games. Teams will practice once weekly (Monday, Tuesday or Thursday), with games on Saturdays. First practice will be on Monday, March 27th, Tuesday, March 28th or Thursday, March 30th (depending on your team). Practices take place at 5:30 OR 6:30 PM (young teams usually go first). Games will normally be on Saturdays, however we will have two weeknight games per team for the season in place of practice. We will also have one Saturday practice on Saturday, April 1st. The first games will be on Saturday April 15th (as we will not have games/activities April 8th, Easter weekend). We will have games in place of practice the week of May 1st, 2nd and 4th. The last games for each team will be on May 22nd, 23rd or 25th (in place of practices), so that we can finish the season before Memorial Day weekend. Games will start at either 9 AM or 10 AM (starting with the younger teams) and older teams may start as late as 12 – 3 PM (depending on how many teams we have total).

 

Cost for Registration differs by division: Pre-K/4 year olds is $75, Grades K – 3rd is $82, Grades 4th – 6th is $85. Each registration includes a t-shirt, pizza party at last practice and an end of season gift!

Cost for a reversible soccer/flag football jersey is $17 (yours to keep and reuse).

 

This soccer league is recreational and will focus on developing youth’s soccer skills, as well as their relationship with Jesus Christ. Youth will learn good practice techniques and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills.

 

The league will be split up into FOUR divisions this year:

Pre K/ 4 Year Olds Level (MUST BE TURNING FOUR BY END OF THE SEASON TO BE OLD ENOUGH TO PLAY IN THIS DIVISION)

Kindergarten – 1st Grade Level

2nd – 3rd Grade Level

4th – 6th Grade Level

 

*Pre K / 4 Year Olds Info – Field Divisions will be slightly smaller (likely 30 by 24 yards), practices will be around 45 minutes (shorter due to recommended length for this age), and games will consist of four 8 minute quarters. Coaches will act as referees during the games, as this age group will likely be learning the game for the first time, and will not need referees yet, other than coaches encouraging them.

 

There will be two evaluation dates available for the youth to come out and be evaluated before teams are created. NO EVALUATIONS FOR PRE K / 4 Year Olds group! Dates for evaluations are Thursday, March 16th, 5:15 PM – 7:00 PM OR Monday, March 20th, 5:15 – 7:00 PM. Youth need only attend one. You may come any time during the 5:15 – 7 PM timeframe (evaluations only take 10-15 minutes per participant). Evaluations will be at Jackson Friends Church, out on the field (could be moved inside, depending on weather/field conditions, etc.)

 

All practices and games will be held at Jackson Friends Church, outside on our fields. In the event we have severe weather conditions, practices may be canceled and games will be rescheduled, potentially in place of a future practice.
