NOTE: This basketball league is a “BRING YOUR OWN TEAM” league, Full Court 5 on 5, for adults who are 18 years of age and older. IF you do not have a team you may try to sign up as a free agent, and if there are enough players to make a team from the free agents that will be done. MINIMUM SEVEN PLAYERS ON A TEAM.
This summer, we will be attempting to split into two divisions, if possible. A competitive division, for those that are still in their prime and/or want to compete at the highest level. OR, if there are enough teams interested, we will also have a recreational division, for those past their prime and/or just interested in playing in the league for some exercise/enjoyment. IF there are not enough teams signed up in the recreational division, we will merge into one division. Those signed up for recreational division, may decide if they want to still play at the competitive division or withdraw (no fees to withdraw in this scenario). The competitive division will play games once a week on Thursdays, with a possibility of some games on Tuesdays too if there are a lot of teams. The recreational division will play games once a week on Tuesdays or pushed to Mondays depending on the number of sign-ups (again if a merge with the competitive division happens, your games will be Thursdays/Tuesdays).
The league regular season runs from June 1 through July 22nd (eight regular season games). Single Elimination Playoffs for ALL TEAMS will take place on Tuesday/Thursday starting July 27th and ending August 5th. Regular season games are played on those Thursday/Tuesday nights each week at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 or 9:00 PM. Two basketball officials for each game. The games will consist of two 20 minute halfs on a running clock, with stoppages on dead balls under one minute in the first half, and two minutes in the second half (including made baskets). Before each game we will have a prayer and a short devotion for teams at half time.
The costs for the league registration will be $70 per individual, and an additional $15 IF a jersey is needed (all jerseys worn must be JFC jerseys, UNLESS you have appropriate matching jerseys). JERSEY SIZES DO RUN BIG, so I would suggest one size down. For example, I wear a large, but a medium is a much better fit for me. Could be different at XL or 2XL sizes.
Each team has to have a coach, who can also be a player. That coach/player, once signed up, can create a team, then send an invite through the registration system for other players to join the team as well!
While this is to be a competitive league, we will not tolerate disruptive behavior on the court. A technical will result in a 5 minute sitting penalty (player may be replaced), while two technical fouls in a game will result in an ejection.
Any player removed from the league for disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund.

SAFETY PROCEDURES AND MORE:
– Equipment will be sanitized before every game night.- Masks will be OPTIONAL for players. We understand that it can be very difficult to play sports while wearing a mask, so it will not be required, but you may wear them if they so choose. Depending on current state mask orders, players may have to wear them coming in and out of the building.- Spectators ARE ALLOWED but we ask that you social distance yourselves from others outside of your family/household. Masks required indoors for spectators at this time.- Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.- Bathrooms will be available, BUT we strongly encourage everyone to use their restroom at home before coming, to minimize the number of people using the restroom. Restrooms will be sanitized before every game day.
Please make sure you are doing a self check/ feeling well before you come out to participate in games!
