“One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” -Proverbs 11:24-25

Dear JFC Church Family,

God’s Word gives good wisdom on how to live fruitful lives that bring fulfillment. Proverbs 11 proclaims how a generous life brings blessing that will enrich one’s life and bring strength. When we release what we have to help others, we create space for God to pour more into our lives. This is not about gaining more material things, but about eternal peace and joy in our hearts as we help others.

As I reflect on this past year I am so grateful for how God has used you to help our church fulfill our mission of glorifying Christ, growing as disciples of Christ, and go and serve others through the Gospel of Christ. I hope your heart is enriched and overflowing as you see and hear what God is doing through our church. Your giving and sacrifices has helped us as a church to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus into many lives of our community and beyond.

The body of Christ at Jackson Friends continues to shine brightly for the glory of God. You are very much a part of the demonstration of God’s faithfulness. Thank you for your commitment to the church, your generosity to plant and water seeds of God’s goodness and truth into the lives of many!  Over this past year we have seen:

  • 17 people were baptized in Christ.

  • 1888 participants in our Sports Ministry who heard clearly the Gospel of Christ.

  • 110 attended our VBS program and around 50 kids made a commitment to follow Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

  • 300 attended Spring Fling Event, with over 100 Gospel Easter baskets given to our community

  • 150 attended our Fall Festival outreach

  • 55 kids were impacted with the Gospel at Good News Club at Sauder Elementary School

  • 100 Thanksgiving Blessing bags given to families in our community, 172 Samaritan Purse Boxes given, over 60 community Christmas gifts given to families in our church.

  • We relaunched a Men’s Breakfast and started a quarterly Worship Night and began a young adults group.

And with all of that we continue to touch kids, students, adults with the love of God through Bible studies, community groups,and other outreach programs.  We have seen God provide and lead us as a church.  I have great hope and expectation that God will continue to strengthen as we grow.
